Have You Heard of Machete?
Over the last thirteen weeks, I shared my book What Did I Do? As the weeks progressed, I received more comments. I even picked up several new followers. I felt it was a risk/reward project and in hindsight, I don’t regret the challenge nor the weekly efforts.
My blog-site got more exposure and also increased traffic on my Amazon’s product page. What also escalated were the sales of the book. All positive results.
While I was involved with this project, I read a post by Nicholas Rossi about a new marketing tool called Machete©. If you have an advertising campaign using sponsored ads with KDP (Amazon), you owe it to yourself to check out Machete. Here is a couple of the FAQ from their site.
“How does Machete work?
Machete is Google Chrome plugin, which is embedded in your browser and runs when you visit https://ams.amazon.com. When you visit AMS, Machete takes a snapshot of your data and stores it on our servers. In the background, it continues to snapshot your data at regular intervals to get a complete history of your campaigns.”
“How does Machete secure my campaign data?
Only your account is allowed to view the data we gather about your campaigns. All data is transferred with HTTPS to prevent snooping, and user-specific information is never shared with other users or companies.”
I would like to believe the increase in sales of my book was from my posting chapters on my blog site. I’m sure I got a few, but with the rise in sales of my other books, I’m confident it was due to Machete. By the second week of using this tool, my sales began an increase and progressed each week since. I’ve only used it for six weeks, and my weekly sales have more than doubled.

I know, you are thinking, Okay, at what cost are you paying for this marketing tool? Well, I was skeptical too. I tried it because the first month is free and you can opt out at any time. If your sales income from your advertising campaign is less than $300 per month, it remains free. From $300 to $1,000 per month, the cost is $10. I would be ecstatic if I fell into the last category. The scale of fees do go up as your revenues increase, but in my estimation, never is unreasonable for the range of sales.
For all the specific details and more FAQ answered, follow the link below. Try Machete for one month as I did, and see for yourself, this is a beneficial marketing tool. My wish is you will come back and thank me because I’m still thanking Nicholas Rossi.
NOTICE:
Please note that the last week in October, I will be closing the posts Sharing My Book – What Did I Do?. If you are behind reading the chapters, you have a few more days to catch up. Or, you could purchase the book. I also encourage you to watch for the beginning of my next project. Thank you for being a loyal follower and for supporting my writing.
